![]() ![]() Importing a track is easy, and the dialog to browse and open files display the attributes of the selected file and allows the option to preview the file before completing the import. The track, mixer and transport tools are standard, easy to use and understand. But hey, maybe this is all to come, this program, in this it's first incarnation, is quite impressive as it is and shows much promise. A feature which will let ya automatically repeat a selection would be a godsend, or an implementation comparible to Acid Loops or Sonar's Groove Clips would be quite handy, and make this programme superb, as opposed to just very good as it is now. The only way I can see to do this is to copy and paste one by one for as long as you need. A five second loop say, which needs to run throughout the song for 3, 4 or 5 minutes. Say you've got a drum loop you wanna use throughout a song. My only real fault with the programme is thus. Bonus.Īdmittedly it has no midi capability YET, and is limited to only 16 channels but these things are to be rectified in a later version apparently (its only at version 1 as it is) but hey, its free and these are small gripes. It'll let you adjust a volume level at any point in any track, layer two tracks over each other and get 'em to play simultaneously in one channel and fade parts in and out without an external wave editor. No more false-mixdowns to get a bounce, just use the feature as it was intended and bouncing is made quick and easy. The ability to bounce tracks down into a single track is actually incorporated into the programme, a nice feature, considering the kinda machines it might well be used on. It does everything from preamp type of use to a compressor to a maximizer to.well, ya just gotta check it out. While I am not exactly sure which type of effect to classify this as, it is quite fun and useful. And the reverb really didn't seem to suck up as much CPU power as some of the higher-end reverbs available, which is a plus. The Chorus, Multidelay and Reverb are quite nice for bundled effects, while there are much better effects available on the market, these effects just make an already very good value application much better. There are four of them, KristalChorus, KristalMultiDelay, KristalReverb and Kristalizer. The program offer 2 VST inserts per channel and 3 VST inserts on the main bus. ![]() It comes with a selection of its own plug ins, which I will get into in a bit, but it supports VSTs, so anything'll go if ya don't like what's there. Less lock ups and dropouts makes for happy music making. I found CPU drain much lower than anything else I've ever used, which is a bonus for those of us on older machines, and much less 'stuttering' when you start to pile on the heavy effects, reverb and stuff, than on for example Cubase. Lets you get on with what youre doing, concentrating on the music, not the software. Record and playback options.cutting and editing features.eq adjustments and plug in options. Nothing too fancy to complicate it.nothing but what you need. ![]() ![]() Think of this programme as the bare bones of any high cost commercial recording app. What's more, if you missed the magazine you can simply download it for free from It's a nice small download for such a useful app. It's a full version, no limitations, seems cool. I happened across Kristal as a freebie on Computer Music magazine, and, being bored with my current set up thought id give it a try. ![]() ![]() If the Squash is at the start of the row, this could kill your Gargantuar because of the constant buttering but the Imp could get the brain when thrown. Occasionally there will be two Kernel-pults and one Squash in a row. If a Squash is in the fifth row from the left then it will hit the Gargantuar, causing it to throw its Imp, which in such cases may eat the brain even before the Gargantuar is done clearing the row. Put it on such rows and it will smash its way through the row (explaining the level's name). This is when the Gargantuar really shines. The rows 1, 3 & 5 have a huge arsenal of offensive plants that can often even kill a Buckethead with ease. You can put a normal Zombie in these rows if there's a Squash behind the Garlic to make the Squash kills it to help the Pole Vaulting Zombie go through. Never send a Zombie or Buckethead Zombie to these rows as they will bite the Garlic and move to other rows. The large amount of Sun will later help to put a Gargantuar. A Pole Vaulting Zombie can raid the place of all sunflower easily. The game starts with rows 2 & 4 having a Garlic in the fifth column from your house and to its left, four Sunflowers, though occasionally there might be a single Peashooter, Torchwood or Squash. Not a arable zombie but is with gargantuar. Mallets are also good to have for this, but they take (about) 14 seconds to re-fill. Once you have the Umbrella Leafs and back Glooms planted, you can pick some of the Explosive plants to bring with you into each flag, to help you kill off the Gargantuars. Note: Make sure you save yourself at least 200 sun each build, so you can replace the 4 Garlics. My first time playing this Money Farm strategy, took me to Flag 12, and I racked up around 20-30k. In this time, you should also rack up quite a lot of coins. Hello everyone for the Gargantuar Zombie channel. ![]() This set-up should allow you to survive pretty much until the Gargantuar zombies show up. On the flag when Digger zombies show up, you can plant Gloom-Shrooms in Rows 1 and 6, Column 2 (so they are aligned with the Umbrella Leafs) so the Diggers don't eat through your Marigold farm. Once you've completed the 2nd flag, you can start planting Pumpkins on the Gloom-Shrooms, and bring Cat-Tails with you, planting them in the 2 Pool lanes directly behind the Tall-Nuts to (eventually) shoot down the Balloon Zombies.ĭepending on which zombies you get on each subsequent flag, you can bring with you the Umbrella Leaf and plant these in Row 2 and Row 5, Column 2 to protect the back plants from Bungee zombies and the Catapult zombie. Plant Pumpkins on all the Tall-Nuts, and place Spikeweeds in the land Columns that have the Tall-Nuts (Rows 1 and 6, Columns 6-9). At this point, you can take out the Magnet Shroom and Gold Magnet upgrade and instead pick the Spikeweed and Pumpkins. (Refer to Beginning/First Flag Plant Build picture)Īfter beating the first flag, you'll get the option to re-pick your plants. You will be good with only using 2 Gold Magnets to farm the coins.įill the rest of your lawn with MariGolds, as long as you keep them behind the Tall-Nuts. Then, plant the Gold Magnets directly behind your 3rd Gloom-Shrooms (Column 4). Next, plant Tall-Nuts in Rows 1, 3, 4 and 5 in Column 5, so they are on the same line as your 3rd Gloom-Shrooms. (Since Pole Vaulters jump over the 1st plant they come into contact with) Next, in the same Rows plant 3 Gloom-Shrooms directly behind the 2 Garlics. To start, plant 2 Garlics side by side in Rows 2 and 5 in the squares closest to where the zombies appear on the right side of the screen (Columns 8 and 9) Placing two in succession like this will get Pole Vault zombies to switch lanes as well. Umbrella Leaf - To defend plants from Bungee zombies and Catapult zombies.Cat-Tails - To shoot down Balloon zombies.Gold Magnets - To collect the money the Marigolds produce (Don't forget, these take 2 seed slots: 1 for Magnet Shroom + 1 for Gold upgrade).Gloom-Shrooms - To kill zombies (Don't forget, Glooms take 3 seed slots: Coffee Bean, Fume-Shroom + the Gloom upgrade). ![]() ![]() Garlic - To deter zombies from Gloom-Shrooms.However, a very similar strategy to this is doable in Survival: Day, if you don't have Last Stand: Endless. Instead of being able to become invincible, you are simply given the chance to replenish your health when you need to. ![]() This is actually a great thing for the game. In the earliest Sift Heads World games there were far more cheats you could take advantage of, but that number has been drastically reduced. Cheating heavily robs you of that challenge. The best thing about this game is really the challenge it presents. Cheat codes are a great help but they can take a lot of fun out of the game if you rely on them to heavily. Use the cheats to help you survive longer so you can improve your skills but don't rely on them to help you beat the game. There are, however, several cheats that can help beginners get through the game a bit easier. Newcomers to first person shooting games are going to have a hard time with Sift Heads World - Act 5. There is still a lot of strategy involved, but the focus here is definitely placed more on shooting. On the other hand, if you enjoyed the previous games because they involved a bit more strategic planning, you might be a bit disappointed. There is far more shooting in this game when compared with previous installments which is great for those looking for lots of action. The only real problem with Sift Heads World - Act 5 when compared with earlier games in the series will only be a problem depending on what you're looking for out of the game. You need to figure out the best way to accomplish your mission without getting killed. You need to keep your eye open for not only enemies, but also for items you may need to collect along the way if you want to pass a mission. There is a fair bit of thinking involved in getting through this game. The action is intense and fast paced but it isn't all about shooting enemies despite what the name would suggest. ![]() The story gets more interesting with every installment and the game always feels fresh and interesting. While other first person shooting game series that run for more than two or three games tend to get boring or stale as the series progresses, Sift Heads World - Act 5 proves this series won't suffer the same fate. Before long, you find yourself once again doing what you do best - sifting heads. The real trouble begins when you are confronted by mercenaries who are out to accomplish their own missions and they aren't looking to share their profits. This is a marked departure from their normal head sifting missions - at least in the beginning. In this game, the team is on a mission to recover an exotic artifact from the Amazonian rain forest. Vinnie, Shorty and Kiro are back in Sift Heads World - Act 5 the fifth incredible chapter in the first person shooting game series Sift Heads World. ![]() ![]() ![]() The computationally lightweight JPEG-XR format provides more efficient compression than JPEG, enables both lossy and lossless compression support, and adds support for alpha channel transparency.īitmapData objects are no longer limited to a maximum resolution of 16 megapixels (16,777,215 pixels), and maximum bitmap width/height is no longer limited to 8,191 pixels, enabling the development of apps that utilize very large bitmaps.įlash Access Content Protection Support for Mobileįlash Access content protection support is now available on mobile devices including Android powered smartphones and tablets.
